Complete the Second Marking Period (p. 46-92) before Tues., Dec. 5
Complete the Third Marking Period before Thurs., Dec. 7
Complete the Fourth Marking Period before Monday, Dec. 11
Final Project (to be introduced Monday, Dec. 4) due Thurs., Dec. 14

IMPORTANT REMINDER: your Ender's Game essay is due TOMORROW, 11-28, (printed hardcopy, double spaced) at the beginning of class. You must also upload a copy of your essay to turnitin.com.

We are turning in our Ender's Game novels on Tuesday. If you don't return it, you cannot check out the next novel we are reading and you will be behind in classwork. Please remember your books! Those of you who read Ender's Shadow, please return the books to me, not the library.

REMINDER: I must have received all essay revisions (with the original) by Monday, Nov. 20, at noon, to receive credit for that revision. 

Your Ender's Game final essay on the general topic of manipulation (see directions at the left) is due before or on Tuesday, Nov. 28. Please submit your essay to turnitin.com before class, but also print out a hard copy for me to comment on. 

By the end of today (11-9) you should have 4 practice analysis paragraphs in your journal. We will revise ONE of these four paragraphs in class and turn in that revised paragraph for a proficiency check on Nov. 14.

Don't forget you can revise your Romeo and Juliet final essay for a new grade! Preferred deadline: Nov. 9 (I will accept them up through Friday, Nov. 17). 

Keep reading (see schedule in older posts) and marking examples of manipulation. We will add our  second set of  4 "best quotes" on this idea in class on Tuesday in your journals.
